Allergy Problems

Allergy is a violent body response to any outside substances . These substances may not harmful normaly, but when it come in contact with body, the human immune system causing an action against them . These substances are called Allergens.

Common Allergens:

Home dust, insects, pets such as cats and dogs, household chemicals, food such as milk, wheat eggs , prawn etc..

Commonly found allergic condition is called Allergic rhinitis.

Symptoms:

Sneezing, watery nose, post-nasal drip, nasal block, itching eyes , nose or throat, and fatigue. also include wheezing, watery eye, sore throat, and impaired smell. Postnasal drip may also cause chronic cough .

Treatment:

Anti histamine is one of the choices. Oral decongestants also may be helpful. Avoid over exposure to the allergens such as pets , allergic foods, chemicals etc.. Protect your body from
seasonal climate changes.

Home remedies:
  • Lime with honey is an effective home remedy for allergic rhinitis. squeeze one lemon into one glass of lukewarm water. Add one teaspoon of honey for sweetening. drink it in the morning before food.
  • Grind some curry leaves with one teaspoon turmeric powder. It can be taken every morning for one month.
  • Put some curry leaves in abowl, add two glass of water and boil it . Alternative drinking this decotion helps to relieve Sneezing.
  • Take some holy basil (Tulasi) leaves and sqeeze it to get one teaspoon juice from it and mix with tender coconut water (karikku). It can be taken once in a day for one week.
